At Canario Plus, we take pride in offering top-quality skincare products that are formulated with care, tested extensively, and designed to give you glowing results. But, as with all skincare, we understand that sometimes things don't go according to plan, especially with individual skin sensitivities. To keep things crystal clear, here are a few important caveats to consider when using our products, particularly if you live in the UK or EU.

This next section will cover:

2. **Customer Claims**

3. **Information Claims**

4. **Regulations and Advertising Standards**

5. Customer Claims (When Your Skin Throws a Tantrum)

We get it—sometimes, your skin just doesn't cooperate. It can be a little dramatic, especially when trying something new. While we ensure all our products are compliant with UK and EU regulations, in rare cases, we can't control how your skin might react. So, here's what you should know before launching into that new serum:

- Patch Test, People!: Always, always patch test. Just because it worked wonders for your friend's skin doesn't mean it'll agree with yours. We're not psychics, and skincare can be a fickle friend. The golden rule is to patch test before slathering on anything new. If you skip this and end up resembling a tomato—well, we did warn you.

- Adverse Reactions: If you experience any irritation, redness, or an allergic reaction (we're talking hives, swelling, or worse), stop using the product immediately. We take no responsibility for issues that arise from:

  •   Misuse of the product (i.e., don't drink the moisturizer, please).
  •   Failure to follow the instructions (hint: don't use night cream during the day).
  •   Allergies or skin conditions that we couldn't have predicted.

- Your Medical Issues: Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. If you're concerned about an allergic reaction or a skin condition, consult your dermatologist before using any skincare product. While we'd love to be your skincare gurus, medical advice is not part of our qualifications.

6. Information Claims (It's All About Transparency, Baby)

We pride ourselves on being transparent about what's in our products, but let's be real: there's only so much we can fit on a product label. So here's a quick breakdown of what you can expect in terms of information claims and how we handle them.

- Ingredient Lists: All ingredients are listed clearly on our website and product packaging. If you're allergic to any of the ingredients listed, it's your responsibility to avoid using that product (we'd love to know all your skin's likes and dislikes, but mind-reading isn't part of our skill set yet).

- Efficacy: Our products are designed based on industry research, and we aim for them to deliver results. However, your mileage may vary. Results can depend on your skin type, your environment, your diet, your stress levels, or even how much sleep you're getting. Skincare isn't one-size-fits-all, so we can't promise that every product will work perfectly for everyone.

- Claims About Results: You might see words like "brightening," "smoothing," or "anti-aging" on our product descriptions. While we'd love to promise eternal youth, please remember that no skincare product can perform miracles (though we're working on it!). Any claims we make are in line with UK **Advertising Standards Authority (ASA)** guidelines, meaning we won't exaggerate or make false promises. If you're expecting to look 20 years younger overnight, we hate to disappoint, but that's probably not going to happen.

7. Regulations and Advertising Standards (The Boring but Important Part)

UK and EU Cosmetic Safety Regulations

- EU Cosmetic Regulation No 1223/2009: Our products comply with the EU's strict safety guidelines for cosmetic products. This means all formulations are tested, ingredients are vetted, and everything meets required safety standards before hitting the shelves. In other words, we've got you covered.

- UK Cosmetic Regulations: Post-Brexit, the UK has aligned its regulations with the EU's standards, and we comply fully with both. All our claims are backed by scientific evidence, and we make sure to follow Cosmetic Product Safety Reports (CPSR), meaning the products you're using are safe and effective within regulatory limits. We won't make wild claims or bend the rules to sell you a pipedream in a jar.

Advertising Standards

We follow strict guidelines set by the **ASA (Advertising Standards Authority) in the UK, and the European Advertising Standards Alliance (EASA) in the EU. This ensures that all marketing claims are:

  • Truthful: We don't embellish or mislead—if we say a serum will "hydrate your skin for up to 8 hours," we have the data to back that up. If a product is described as "dermatologically tested," it means exactly that, not just that one person tried it out once.
  • Substantiated: Every claim we make is supported by solid evidence, such as clinical trials, customer feedback, or industry-approved testing methods. We avoid vague or unprovable terms like "miraculous" or "life-changing" (unless you're telling us that's how it worked for you, of course).
  • Non-Deceptive: If we say something is "natural" or "organic," it genuinely meets the standards for that claim. We won't throw these words around lightly, because misleading our customers is not part of our brand DNA.
